There are of number of funding and grant opportunities to help assist you paying for your play ground project. Here are some links that you may find useful.

Big Lottery Fund
Its aim is to create, improve and develop children and young people's free local play spaces and opportunities throughout England, according to need. Support innovation and new ways of providing for children's play. Create a support and development infrastructure to ensure local agencies have the resources and skills to achieve the first two aims. Promote the long-term strategic and sustainable provision for play as a free public service to children. Ensure that local authorities work with other local stakeholders to develop children's play strategies and plans. Ensure that good, inclusive and accessible children's play services and facilities are provided locally. Link to the Lottery Fund

Child’s Play Programme
The Child’s play programme is an initiative in Wales that funds the development of the infrastructure for children’s play and strategically important Play projects across Wales.

Child’s Play aims to develop new play spaces for children in their communities and offers grants from £250,00 to £1 million by March 2009. Link to Childs play programme

Awards for All
A Lottery grant scheme for local communities. There are different schemes for each of the four countries of the UK. Grants are awarded for sums between £300 and £10,000 for projects that promote education, the environment and health of the local community. Link to Awards for All

Biffaward offers funding for environmental and community projects across the whole of the UK that has enabled the creation and upgrading of numberous new children’s play areas. Link to Biffaward

Community Funding

Play England
Play England's aim is for all children and young people in England to have regular access and opportunity for free, inclusive, local play provision and play space. A main aim for Play England is to provide more quality play provision in Children’s centres, schools and extended services. Link to Play England

Royal Bank of Scotland Supergrounds is a community programme from who recognise the importance of children learning through play, whether in the school playground or at home. Link to Supergrounds
